[00:00:00] Welcome to Shonen Flop, Jimmy! First Impressions mini-episode where we talk, but the first chapter of the series we'll be covering in depth next week with our guest, King Salamander!

[00:00:09] I'm Jordan and with me as usual is my lovely co-host David. Say hi, David!

[00:00:15] Hi, David! In the middle of the street. Hi, David!

[00:00:19] Jordan's like, that might actually be the first time that gimmick actually worked as intended.

[00:00:22] No, it didn't. Yeah, it did to me.

[00:00:23] What series are we covering this week? We're covering Psych House.

[00:00:26] That's nice. Psych! It's not!

[00:00:29] I don't think we've ever had a series that we had more ideas for cover art.

[00:00:32] I also just realized, fuck, why didn't we do Mob Psycho 100?

[00:00:36] Oh, well, too late. We already sent the request in.

[00:00:39] Uh... whatever.

[00:00:41] But yeah, Jordan, can you tell us about Psych House?

[00:00:43] This is Loud House. Psych, it's Psych House. I'm gonna do that a lot.

[00:00:47] Psych, it's Cory in the Psych House.

[00:00:49] Cory in the Psych House. No, it's Psych House by Kobayashi Omusuke.

[00:00:54] Omusuke. Psych, that's the wrong house.

[00:00:57] Oh! Okay.

[00:00:59] Yeah, it ran from May 13, 2024 to September 9, 2024.

[00:01:03] Relatively recent cancellation here.

[00:01:06] Only went 17 chapters, two volumes.

[00:01:09] So, David, we got a U19 club member right here.

[00:01:12] Aw, yeah. Sucks to suck.

[00:01:14] Gotta love a U19.

[00:01:15] Aw, yeah.

[00:01:16] But yeah, let's get into the fucking plot summary for this first chapter.

[00:01:19] Katone is a smart schoolgirl who nonetheless seems to be a bit of a slacker, David.

[00:01:23] She has a magic trick, though, where she could seemingly make objects disappear,

[00:01:28] reappear in other places.

[00:01:29] Now, if this was JoJo or Rocky, would have like a three-page diagram of how this trick can actually be done?

[00:01:34] Yeah, like, um, she has to be careful or, uh, she'll make it appear in somebody's, uh, chest.

[00:01:40] Like, Nightcrawler.

[00:01:40] But anyway, uh, one of the things she does is make her friend's bone magically teleport from her hand to her pocket.

[00:01:47] While sitting in class, a bucket moves along the floor.

[00:01:50] Only for a kid to peer underneath it and wear it as a hat.

[00:01:53] His name is Suya, and he's a new student who's late for his first day.

[00:01:57] Can't do that.

[00:01:57] You can't do that.

[00:01:59] Suya is investigating paranormal activity, and one of Katone's friends says,

[00:02:03] Hey, there have been that series of, uh, mysterious thefts occurring at, you know,

[00:02:08] a local convenience store where, uh, objects seem to just teleport.

[00:02:12] You know, kinda like what Katone did, but like, I'm not making the connection.

[00:02:15] Katone goes to said convenience store after school where, David, she's unable to buy a rice ball because she's broke.

[00:02:22] Fuckin' millennial, or actually, Zoomer energy. They can't have shit in this economy.

[00:02:27] It's true.

[00:02:27] She bumps into Suya before running away from him.

[00:02:30] Katone then goes to see her coma mom, who's in a coma before walking around with her stomach growling.

[00:02:36] Hungry, Katone makes a rice ball teleport to her hand from the store and Suya sees it happen.

[00:02:41] He says that she has magic powers called Sykes, like him, and invites her to join him at his house.

[00:02:48] Popcorn David.

[00:02:50] Suya says that she won't be able to get away with it for long anyway because the government is catching on to this kind of thing, and Katone runs away anyway.

[00:02:57] The government! The government is catching on! They're tracking the psychic powers, David!

[00:03:02] They're turning the frickin' psychs gay!

[00:03:04] She reflects that since her coma mom fell into her coma, she's been unable to afford food because her dad put her in debt and her coma mom can't work due to being in a coma.

[00:03:12] More like those goddamn lazy millennials.

[00:03:14] I know, seriously.

[00:03:15] Suya shows up and the chase resumes now that we know her backstory.

[00:03:19] Katone throws things like grass and a cat at him to stop him from chasing her, but in her hungry, tired state, she accidentally throws a car at him, and he grows giant to catch it.

[00:03:28] Tale as old as time.

[00:03:30] Oh.

[00:03:30] Song as old as rhyme, some might even say.

[00:03:32] Suya convinces her to join him at his psych house, but first they go to the convenience store owner.

[00:03:37] She apologizes, but upon learning that she's unable to afford food, he gives her a big bag of rice balls because he's actually a decent guy.

[00:03:44] Then Suya takes her to the dang psych house.

[00:03:46] That's the end of chapter one.

[00:03:47] See you next week for the exciting conclusion of Psych House.

[00:03:50] Psych house!

[00:03:51] Wow!

[00:03:52] So, Jordan, what were your first impressions, my man?

[00:03:54] Uh, I mean, you know, the art seems, uh, very consistent.

[00:03:57] Sometimes it looks like shit, and then other times it looks pretty.

[00:03:59] I also think that the main character looks a lot like her female friend, and I was really confused in some of the panels because they look exactly the same from behind.

[00:04:07] Yeah, there's that one character that they say is fat who isn't fat.

[00:04:10] They're like, oh, but you're cute because you're fat.

[00:04:12] It's like that sounds like...

[00:04:13] Yeah, there was some, uh, questionable things about that where they were like, aren't you gonna eat?

[00:04:16] And she's like, no, I'm on a diet.

[00:04:18] And I'm like, huh, I guess they're making fun of eating disorders in this manga.

[00:04:21] Well, I feel like that was more her trying to, uh...

[00:04:24] I know, it's not like she has an ED.

[00:04:25] She can't afford food.

[00:04:26] She can't afford food, but...

[00:04:28] But the joke was it was an eating disorder joke.

[00:04:30] Yeah, that's fair.

[00:04:30] I would agree with that, yeah.

[00:04:31] It's because they're like, well, you don't need to lose weight.

[00:04:34] Wow.

[00:04:35] It was solid execution though on that joke.

[00:04:37] Just, it was a bit of a yikes.

[00:04:39] Yeah, if you think about it a bit too much.

[00:04:40] But it's also like, I mean, that is how teen girls talk.

[00:04:43] So it's like, teen girl squad!

[00:04:45] Yeah, teen girl squad.

[00:04:47] You know, decomposing pumpkins.

[00:04:49] Check out that song, everybody.

[00:04:50] This is Halloween.

[00:04:51] All this is coming.

[00:04:51] I prefer my pumpkins smashing.

[00:04:53] Just like Doom and the band.

[00:04:55] Yeah, but yeah, I think the art is fine.

[00:04:58] Sometimes, usually it's fine.

[00:04:59] Yeah, there's nothing to write home about about this.

[00:05:01] Usually it's pretty good and then sometimes it goes off model.

[00:05:04] Yeah, and the thing is, it doesn't really have an art saw that screams gag manga,

[00:05:07] but neither is the presentation.

[00:05:08] So I don't know what this is supposed to be tone wise.

[00:05:12] This is kind of, it's a bold choice to...

[00:05:16] No, he has a bucket, not a bowl.

[00:05:17] Oh my fucking God.

[00:05:18] It's a bold choice to not have a conflict in chapter one.

[00:05:25] Yeah, nothing fucking happens.

[00:05:27] Like, I don't know what could possibly happen in chapter two that they couldn't have merged

[00:05:30] that into this chapter.

[00:05:31] Yeah, like, there's no bad guy.

[00:05:34] There's no danger.

[00:05:35] The most, the biggest danger is maybe she'll get caught, but she wasn't gonna.

[00:05:39] The biggest danger is that like, soon the government is going to be on to her.

[00:05:42] And if she did get caught, there were no consequences.

[00:05:45] Yeah.

[00:05:45] I guess the way that you probably should structure this first chapter is have the government catch

[00:05:50] her and then sue you save her or something.

[00:05:52] Yeah.

[00:05:52] Because then you're establishing some form of stakes and there's no stakes that have been

[00:05:56] established here.

[00:05:57] I don't know what the point of the series is.

[00:05:59] This is a hard one to make guesses for that aren't super generic because they gave you nothing.

[00:06:03] I feel like putting your mom in a coma is like really lazy, right?

[00:06:07] Yeah.

[00:06:07] Just like vague coma.

[00:06:09] Yeah.

[00:06:09] Soap opera disease.

[00:06:10] Soap opera disease.

[00:06:12] She's got coma disorder.

[00:06:13] Yeah.

[00:06:14] Actually, this series would have been probably better structured as a four coma.

[00:06:17] Don't you just hate how like sometimes you just fall into comas?

[00:06:20] Yeah.

[00:06:21] God.

[00:06:21] I hear that moms are very susceptible to it.

[00:06:24] It's a shame.

[00:06:24] Do a coma every night called sleeping.

[00:06:27] Nice.

[00:06:28] Anyway, you know, there's like I don't fucking know.

[00:06:30] I just the teleportation chase was kind of cool.

[00:06:33] She was just grabbing.

[00:06:34] She literally did rain a bullshit go of her teleportation ability, which was funny.

[00:06:37] I liked the cat.

[00:06:39] I liked when she threw the cat at him and he just kind of appeared on his head.

[00:06:42] Yeah, I was like, haha.

[00:06:43] I thought that was cute.

[00:06:44] You know, for all I said, though, about like how you quote unquote should structure this.

[00:06:49] I did appreciate on some level that they were trying something different.

[00:06:52] You know, like there wasn't like big states.

[00:06:54] That is a bold move.

[00:06:56] You know, like there is something there.

[00:06:58] I don't think the execution was totally successful in this chapter.

[00:07:01] I just think that also the presentation, like it seems to be formatted like a normal shounen series, but it clearly wants to be a gag manga.

[00:07:09] You know, I don't know about a gag manga, but it's not a shounen series.

[00:07:12] But that's the only way that makes sense for the tone of this.

[00:07:15] Right.

[00:07:16] What is the tone of this series?

[00:07:18] This series does not feel like a gag manga to me.

[00:07:20] It almost feels closer to like slice of life.

[00:07:22] Cute psychics doing cute things.

[00:07:24] Honestly, though.

[00:07:25] Yeah.

[00:07:26] Like it seems more like it wants to be about like this girl's personal struggles with her own like identity or something, which could be good.

[00:07:34] It's very out of place.

[00:07:35] It's shown in jump like none of that necessarily means it's bad.

[00:07:39] I just like judging from the execution of the first chapter.

[00:07:42] It wasn't really that compelling.

[00:07:44] Yeah.

[00:07:44] I don't know what else to say about this.

[00:07:46] Right.

[00:07:46] It's definitely not a gag manga to me like it's not there aren't many jokes, but there aren't anything else in this, right?

[00:07:52] No, I mean, it could morph into a shounen fighting manga, but that's not what it's giving in the first chapter.

[00:07:59] Yeah.

[00:08:00] So I guess the question is, would you read our 10 chapters of this?

[00:08:02] No, no.

[00:08:04] And before we get into what we think will happen next, if you've been enjoying the show, we'd really appreciate if you subscribe to the Shounen Flop YouTube.

[00:08:10] We're trying to hit our goal of 1500 YouTube subs.

[00:08:12] And if we hit it, we'll do a special bonus episode on the Bill King Epilogue.

[00:08:16] You're already subscribed.

[00:08:16] Thank you so much.

[00:08:17] I think we're only like 150 subs away.

[00:08:19] So Jordan, get excited for that.

[00:08:21] No!

[00:08:21] No!

[00:08:22] And I'm also excited, though, to say my guesses.

[00:08:25] So Jordan?

[00:08:25] Yeah.

[00:08:25] I think that the main character actually has a really sad backstory in that smile.

[00:08:30] He's hiding it because it used to be upside down.

[00:08:32] That must have hurt when they flipped it.

[00:08:34] Yeah.

[00:08:34] Just like his backstory pain.

[00:08:35] Damn.

[00:08:36] I also think they're going to have like a stereotypical arc where they like meet someone who's a fake psychic

[00:08:39] and one of the stupider characters, probably the MC is like, whoa, you should come join the psych house.

[00:08:43] And she's like, he's a con or it's like some stupid thing, you know?

[00:08:46] That makes sense.

[00:08:47] And then it turns out someone has a psychic ability that can heal the female main character's mom.

[00:08:51] But it becomes a big issue is does she want them to do that?

[00:08:54] Or alternatively, they never think about using it to heal her mom.

[00:08:58] I'm going to be so mad if that's the case.

[00:09:02] One of my original guesses was which psychic abilities would show up, but then it would make the scoring weird.

[00:09:06] Yeah.

[00:09:06] Because obviously you're going to have like a clairvoyant.

[00:09:08] You're going to have someone who can probably turn invisible.

[00:09:10] You're going to have some pyrokinesis, you know?

[00:09:12] Yeah.

[00:09:13] It would kind of be like you get 25% of that.

[00:09:16] It's just weird.

[00:09:17] Yeah.

[00:09:18] So I was like, I just want to dodge it.

[00:09:20] But Jordan, what are your guesses?

[00:09:21] I think that Katone's dad has psychic powers and that's where she got hers from.

[00:09:25] They're mysteriously like, oh, we have debt from our dad or something.

[00:09:29] I think that her mom is in a coma for magic psychic reasons.

[00:09:33] And there's an evil government guy who wants to use them for war.

[00:09:36] Whoa.

[00:09:37] We were so brave with our guesses.

[00:09:39] I know.

[00:09:40] Well, that's the whole point.

[00:09:41] That's the point of this.

[00:09:42] It's like the idea is how predictable is the series going to be?

[00:09:45] Remember Wizard Soul where her dad like lost a ton of money to the Yakuza and she had to play Magic the Gathering and it never really came up again.

[00:09:52] God, that fucking.

[00:09:53] That series sucked.

[00:09:55] Anyway, it's not good.

[00:09:56] But that rule.

[00:09:57] What's your power?

[00:09:57] Bucket.

[00:09:58] Because David, you can just throw this shit in the bucket.

[00:10:01] And mine was spoon as in gag me.

[00:10:03] Or actually, though, because that's what psychics bend.

[00:10:06] David, I heard there was no spoon, though.

[00:10:08] That's true.

[00:10:09] That's a good movie.

[00:10:10] Yeah.

[00:10:11] But there is people who ask us questions.

[00:10:13] I want to say big thank you to everyone who drops their question in the Shonen Flop.

[00:10:17] Discord, find a link to it in our show notes or on our site, shownonflop.com.

[00:10:20] We get priority to those who haven't asked a question before, our patrons, or haven't had a question answered in a long time.

[00:10:25] Starting with Dude Rocks.

[00:10:27] I know you guys don't like to get too political, but what's your opinion on changing Best Friends Day to the first dog day?

[00:10:32] Best Friends Day takes place in June and as of now, the only dog day takes place in August.

[00:10:36] I don't see the point because can't your dog be your best friend?

[00:10:40] My dog is my best friend when Rachel isn't in the room.

[00:10:43] True.

[00:10:44] It's like how I say that Ravioli is the second most important girl to me in my life.

[00:10:47] Oh, yeah.

[00:10:48] But number one goblin.

[00:10:49] That's true.

[00:10:50] I mean, what other competition is there?

[00:10:52] Yeah.

[00:10:52] Next up from Jeanette.

[00:10:53] I don't know if anyone asked this, but how could you imagine alternate version of your favorite manga that was canceled after 19 chapters or so?

[00:10:59] Bonus points if it's Chainsaw Man.

[00:11:00] I think we did actually answer this before.

[00:11:02] Maybe I forgot or maybe it's come up again.

[00:11:04] So hence, I don't know if someone's asked it.

[00:11:05] So Jordan can't pick Chainsaw Man.

[00:11:07] What's a manga that you actually like and are actively reading?

[00:11:10] And how would you have ended it within the first like 20 chapters?

[00:11:13] So if you had to make, let's just say, like, if you had to make a three chapter ending to Hunter Hunter.

[00:11:17] I was just thinking Hunter Hunter.

[00:11:18] What if what if Hunter Hunter didn't even remotely subvert any tropes at all?

[00:11:23] Like Hunter Hunter starts out kind of generic and then just gets wilder and wilder as the series goes on.

[00:11:30] Like it just you can fly.

[00:11:31] Yeah, I'm imagining because that's like during the Hunter exam, right?

[00:11:34] 20 chapters.

[00:11:35] I would say like sooner than that.

[00:11:37] But yeah, like I imagine like it must be like King is one of his like proctors, right?

[00:11:42] Huh?

[00:11:42] Like King would be one of the proctors of the Hunter exam.

[00:11:45] King?

[00:11:45] Gone's dad.

[00:11:46] Yeah, right.

[00:11:46] Yeah, that's true.

[00:11:47] Yeah.

[00:11:47] His dad would just show up.

[00:11:49] Yeah.

[00:11:49] I mean, like make it more generic basically.

[00:11:53] And less text.

[00:11:54] Less text.

[00:11:55] Well, there wasn't that much text in the beginning of Hunter Hunter.

[00:11:57] Chimera and art just broke something about him.

[00:11:59] Well, no.

[00:12:00] What happened was his back, his health problems got worse and worse.

[00:12:04] So he had to figure out a way to tell a story without drawing as much.

[00:12:08] Sad, actually.

[00:12:09] Yeah, that's fair.

[00:12:09] Let's see.

[00:12:10] Can Ikumon don't do a tournament arc.

[00:12:13] Just have him continue to be a really shitty superhero.

[00:12:17] That series was definitely just going to end before the fucking wrestling started.

[00:12:21] That was like last ditch effort to save it.

[00:12:25] And it's like, holy shit.

[00:12:27] What a good idea.

[00:12:29] I imagine a Dragon Ball just ends where Goku finds a dragon.

[00:12:32] He's like, oh, he meets someone has four of the Dragon Balls.

[00:12:34] And he's like, wow, this sure is convenient.

[00:12:36] Berserk remove all the subtext about PTSD.

[00:12:39] Just one piece.

[00:12:40] Luffy's boat just sinks.

[00:12:42] No, one piece would absolutely do an adventure continues.

[00:12:45] Well, yeah.

[00:12:46] Well, I mean, like Luffy just finds his crew already together and it's like, oh, man, you're cool.

[00:12:53] You want to be our captain?

[00:12:54] He's like, yeah, I'll be the captain.

[00:12:55] And Luffy's actually like pretty smart and like resourceful and intelligent.

[00:13:00] Unlike me.

[00:13:00] Oh, you know, David, that's OK.

[00:13:03] I've met Dumber.

[00:13:04] I can imagine it's like a shock because Oda designed the entire crew as prototypes.

[00:13:08] So imagine it's just like jumps forward like five years.

[00:13:10] You're like, oh, we finally made it to Laugh Tale.

[00:13:13] And it's just like a silhouette of him and his crew.

[00:13:15] There's an even longer time skip after the end of at the end of Romance Dawn to when he has his full crew.

[00:13:21] Yeah.

[00:13:22] Yeah.

[00:13:22] Nami is super nice and only steals to help the children, the orphans.

[00:13:27] Yes.

[00:13:28] That's why she steals.

[00:13:30] Exactly.

[00:13:30] Oh, and of course, Sanji respects women.

[00:13:33] Yes.

[00:13:34] As one should.

[00:13:35] But unfortunately, we do have to move on from spook.

[00:13:37] Do you have a dream that you remember to this day?

[00:13:40] Um, world peace.

[00:13:42] I think it was more like a sleepy time dream.

[00:13:44] Um, world peace.

[00:13:45] I dreamed about world.

[00:13:46] No, I did.

[00:13:47] That's not.

[00:13:47] I don't know.

[00:13:48] I just, I'll never forget the dream where I woke up on time and took a shower and was like ready to go to school.

[00:13:54] And then I woke up and discovered that I was actually late for school and hadn't done any of that.

[00:13:59] And I was very upset.

[00:14:01] Oh my.

[00:14:01] I always remember my classic dream where I had a dream that Rachel left me and I woke up and she wasn't there.

[00:14:06] Cause she went to the couch to watch Tiki talks.

[00:14:08] Most stress I've ever been in my entire life.

[00:14:10] Oh, I also remember, um, when I was really excited about the PS3, I would have multiple dreams where I got a PS3 and then woke up excited to play it only to discover that it was a dream.

[00:14:21] I was sad.

[00:14:22] You have a PS4 though.

[00:14:22] David, this was back in middle school.

[00:14:24] Yeah, but now you have a PS4.

[00:14:25] So dream acquired.

[00:14:27] Now I have a PS5.

[00:14:28] PS5 is pretty great.

[00:14:29] Yeah, it's pretty good.

[00:14:30] So is ZZ Digital who asked favorite wave changer from Star Force.

[00:14:34] If you haven't done Star Force, that's understandable.

[00:14:36] And this may be discarded.

[00:14:37] So Jordan, I can't answer this question.

[00:14:38] I just figured you could.

[00:14:39] I can't.

[00:14:40] I haven't played Star Force.

[00:14:41] Nice.

[00:14:42] Sorry, ZZ Digital.

[00:14:43] Sorry.

[00:14:44] That's why I had six questions on this list today.

[00:14:47] From Spubby.

[00:14:48] If you can have a party with any three flop characters, who would you go with?

[00:14:51] Bonus points, including all jump titles.

[00:14:53] So which Shonen flop characters would you actually want to hang out with?

[00:14:56] I feel an easy one is the guy from Trix dedicated to witches.

[00:14:59] Would you really want to party with him though?

[00:15:01] He's kind of a dick.

[00:15:03] Yeah, but he would do cool magic shit.

[00:15:05] And trans rights.

[00:15:06] I feel like I'd rather have, I'd almost rather have BT.

[00:15:09] You want to party with a 12 year old?

[00:15:11] Oh, as opposed to a 15 year old?

[00:15:13] That's a pretty big difference.

[00:15:14] I mean, we're both in our 30s.

[00:15:16] It's weird no matter what.

[00:15:18] I think the dude from Trix dedicated which was legally emancipated.

[00:15:21] He was a professional magician.

[00:15:22] Okay.

[00:15:22] I mean, it's weird.

[00:15:23] Again, it's weird no matter what.

[00:15:26] How do you, why do you think he's like 16?

[00:15:27] Because he's a Shonen jump protagonist.

[00:15:30] So?

[00:15:31] I mean, with the exception of like...

[00:15:33] It says he's 17.

[00:15:35] Oh, I'm sorry.

[00:15:36] That's a pretty big difference from 15 and 12.

[00:15:39] No, that's true.

[00:15:40] BT is like eight anyway.

[00:15:41] So no.

[00:15:42] Yeah.

[00:15:42] Nah, I don't know.

[00:15:43] I feel like our answers to this for a long, to these questions for a long time are usually,

[00:15:48] I don't know, the girls from Candy Flurry.

[00:15:50] I was gonna say the girl from Candy Flurry.

[00:15:52] We answer the girl from Candy Flurry all the time.

[00:15:55] Also, David, like something I've been thinking about is that like last time we talked about

[00:16:00] it, you were like her gender didn't matter.

[00:16:01] I kind of disagree.

[00:16:02] One thing I like about Candy Flurry is that like she is a girl.

[00:16:05] She's like a girly girl, but like it's fine.

[00:16:08] It's not presented as a bad thing.

[00:16:10] I think that's the thing that's cool about it.

[00:16:12] And like, yeah, nah, so she's cool.

[00:16:14] We could have her.

[00:16:15] How about the ghost from Kako and the False Detective?

[00:16:18] Kako, the False Detective.

[00:16:19] Kako, Kako.

[00:16:20] You just watch some movies with her.

[00:16:21] She knows how to party.

[00:16:23] The dude from Ayashiman, you might not survive partying with him, but you'll have a great

[00:16:27] time.

[00:16:27] Yeah.

[00:16:28] Oh man.

[00:16:30] Imagine Grandpa G, that would be interesting.

[00:16:32] Oh no, God.

[00:16:33] That would be, that'd be terrifying.

[00:16:36] Or the guy from Service Horse.

[00:16:37] He would make sure your apartment was pristine afterward.

[00:16:40] That's pretty good.

[00:16:41] Oh man, I'm trying to think.

[00:16:43] All right.

[00:16:43] One more, one more.

[00:16:44] One more, um, Jackman.

[00:16:46] Sure.

[00:16:46] Yeah.

[00:16:46] Huge Jackman.

[00:16:47] There you go.

[00:16:48] Huge Jackman.

[00:16:49] Yep.

[00:16:50] And finally, Redblade wants to know which flop protagonist would it be most in character

[00:16:54] if they collected cards for Magic the Gathering, Yu-Gi-Oh!, Pokemon TCG and Hearthstone.

[00:16:59] So we have a canon answer to one of these.

[00:17:01] Yeah.

[00:17:01] Well, yeah.

[00:17:02] We have one and a half canon answers.

[00:17:05] We can't do that though for, um, Wizard of Soul.

[00:17:07] It's too obvious.

[00:17:08] Oh, I was thinking about how Shigemaru literally plays Yu-Gi-Oh!

[00:17:11] That's true.

[00:17:12] I don't think about that.

[00:17:14] All right.

[00:17:14] So then let's talk which Shonen flop protagonist would actually play Magic the Gathering.

[00:17:18] The guy from Neolation.

[00:17:19] I was thinking that I could see BT playing it.

[00:17:22] Yeah.

[00:17:23] He's a little too smart for like Pokemon.

[00:17:25] You think so?

[00:17:26] Maybe.

[00:17:26] I would kind of say Pokemon just because he's eight years old.

[00:17:29] Yeah, that's fair.

[00:17:30] And because he's like, he's, he would definitely be down for some kind of TCG.

[00:17:34] I feel like he'd be good at like tricking kids to get into trading him like their Charizard.

[00:17:40] Yeah.

[00:17:40] Okay.

[00:17:40] That's fair.

[00:17:40] I bet the dude from Fabricate 100 would play Yu-Gi-Oh!

[00:17:43] Yeah.

[00:17:44] And then I think the super smartphone guy would play Hearthstone.

[00:17:47] Yeah.

[00:17:47] Yeah.

[00:17:47] He played on his smartphone.

[00:17:49] You play it on a smartphone.

[00:17:50] All right.

[00:17:51] That all makes sense.

[00:17:52] Oh, doesn't the dude from Green Green Greens effectively play Pokemon, right?

[00:17:56] Yeah.

[00:17:56] Well, his little brother does and he knows how to play.

[00:17:59] So yeah.

[00:17:59] Yeah.

[00:17:59] Oh, the nine dragons ball parade guy.

[00:18:01] Definitely the catcher.

[00:18:03] He definitely plays magic.

[00:18:04] Yes.

[00:18:05] A hundred percent.

[00:18:06] All right.

[00:18:06] That's why they made fun of him originally.

[00:18:09] Yeah.

[00:18:09] It's like you're playing magic.

[00:18:10] The gathering.

[00:18:11] Don't you know we're all playing Yu-Gi-Oh!

[00:18:13] Now what a nerd.

[00:20:50] The Schillinger system of music composition is such a pain in the ass.

[00:20:53] It requires all this math.

[00:20:54] I don't really understand what the fuck is going on with it.

[00:20:56] That's rough, buddy.

[00:21:40] David say it.

[00:21:40] Keep on flopping floppers.

[00:21:42] Bye.
