Jordan  0:00
Welcome to Shonen Flop chibi, a first impressions mini episode where we talk about the first chapter of the series we'll be covering in depth next week. I'm Jordan and with me today as usual, is my co-host, David. Say hi, David.

David  0:14
Hi, David.

Jordan  0:15
What series are we covering this week, David?

David  0:17
We are getting into spooky town as we are going through a series that apparently has an English name but literally, there's no record of it on the Internet where I tried Googling it so I'm just gonna go with the Japanese name where I feel like I just imagined that it was called Philosophy School because I can't find anything that called it that.

Jordan  0:33
Right? Ah, maybe-maybe that was, like, a direct translation. But yeah, so--

David  0:37
I have no idea but it's Japanese name is Kaiben Guk-Guk... [sighs]

Jordan  0:41
This is gonna be hard.

David  0:42
Kaiben--

Jordan  0:43
I believe it's Kiben, first of all.

David  0:44
Fuck it. I'm gonna call it Philosophy School, even if that's [Jordan laughs]--

Jordan  0:46
Yeah.

David  0:46
--not what its name is. That's what it literally translates to. We'll insert some audio from Tucker for how you actually say it.

Jordan  0:52
Or insert some audio from [David laughs] me where I can tell you that it's called Kiben Gakuha, Yotsuya-senpai no Kaiden.

David  0:55
[laughs] God damn. This [Jordan laughs] guy fucks.

Jordan  0:59
Uhh. Yeah. Some part of that translates to philosophy school. I think the translation is always Philosophy School, Ghost Stories. Which one of those two things kind of makes sense for the [laughing] series. The other one? I have no fucking clue what that title is doing here.

David  1:13
Makes sense because no one had any clue what the fuck happened in this manga either.

Jordan  1:18
I was, like, so hoping when I picked this up, and it would just be like, hmmm, ghosts are on the loose. What do you think, Wittgenstein? Oh, I don't know, Kant. Why don't we ask our friend, uhh, Heidegger? No, he's a Nazi. Alright, anyway.

David  1:30
[laughing] Okay.

Jordan  1:32
So this series was written by Haruichi Furudate. The run dates were between March 1, 2010 to July 5, 2010. This is old school for us.

David  1:42
This is vintage. Can't believe this series is 18 years old.

Jordan  1:46
Mmmm yeah. And it went for three volumes and 18 chapters. Mmmm, that good old school flop taste, you know?

David  1:54
[laughing] Yeah. I just love how you're like, yeah, 18 years. That sounds alright. 2022 to 2010.

Jordan  1:58
Oh, I can't do math. The fuck are you talking about? Yeah.

David  2:01
Quick math. [Jordan and David laugh] But you know what you can do is, you can write a pretty great plot summary.

Jordan  2:07
Oh, why thank you, David. And you can do a pretty decent transition. So why don't I go [David hums] into the fucking plot summary as best as I could figure it out. Alright, guys. So there's this weird, creepy kid named Yotsuya, who, according to rumors will help solve spooky mysteries. And it just so happens that Nakashima Makoto needs just that. Her friend, Hinano, disappeared. While reports of a local serial killer are circulating the middle school kids are then spreading a creepy pasta about a spooky doll who used to have three legs. But then Yotsuya explains to Makoto that she was actually only missing one leg. So she had three limbs, uhh, not three legs. It's spooky, right? Right? Yes.

David  2:46
Yes, too spooky. Or actually, you could say three spooky cuz it's got three legs.

Jordan  2:51
Well, anyway, Yotsuya then starts talking about how he wants to be a really good horror writer and lays out the elements of a horror story which are completely wrong and stupid. His three elements are cast, narration, and audience. So I don't think that really works for a horror story. Maybe a horror movie, but whatever. And that's-anyway, that's just every movie. It's just movies in general.

David  3:12
Yeah. [laughs]

Jordan  3:14
He then plays a prank on Makoto where he makes the three-limb doll fall on her head, which freaks everyone in her class out. In fact, it freaked the teacher out so much that they realize, oh, wow, he was really spooked by a three-limb doll so he must be the serial killer. I mean, I got really [David laughs] spooked when I read that too.

David  3:32
I, uh, couldn't sleep for days after I read the series and I read it today.

Jordan  3:36
You just know when you read it, oh, I'm not sleeping tonight.

David  3:38
[laughing] This feels like an i tell c villain that the character's trying [Jordan laughs] to make [indecipherable]

Jordan  3:42
Yotsuya and Makoto then play a prank on their teacher right as he's about to kill a little girl which spooks him so much that he gets arrested. Yotsuya talks about how he loves spooky stuff and Makoto hates spooky stuff but decides that she'll have to deal with spooky stuff if she wants to save her friend. That's the plot, I think.

David  4:00
This was bogus on a level which is-I don't know what really was happening in this chapter.

Jordan  4:04
This was like if Bokke-san had worse art.

David  4:08
You thought the art was bad?

Jordan  4:09
I thought the art was trash.

David  4:11
I thought the art was one of the good [laughing] parts about this series.

Jordan  4:14
I thought it was total dogshit. [laughs]

David  4:17
Oh. I thought it was, like, what the author of B. Ichi was-what Okubo was trying to do. But he wasn't good enough to draw like this.

Jordan  4:23
There are moments where the author clearly fucked up a line, didn't fix it, and then just sent it out for the [laughing] fucking series. There are characters who-fingers are so goddamn long. It's so strange. The foreshortening is a complete mess. Somebody's hands only close to the camera when it makes absolutely no sense for it to be there. I see what the author was doing in that they were trying to be, like, all surrealistic and like all weird with, like, the art and stuff but it just-it doesn't work for me and it just looks like shit.

David  4:56
I thought it was more just-it was stylized. Like, he draws kind of a fisheye lens style to it. I'll try and pay closer attention the art after this chapter but I honestly didn't have any issues and I really thought they showed us at least a good use of, you know, gray tone and actually drawing somewhat backgrounds versus a lot of really lazy just pure black line work on white background. So we see it a lot in the series we cover like Bokke-san.

Jordan  5:18
Oh, this looked lazy as hell to me.

David  5:20
You're an absolute mad lad.

Jordan  5:21
Dude, I-like, I hated those gray-those gray tones that he was using. Like it just-I saw that and I was like, oh god, he's got, like, the fucking Dodge tool over there. This just looks like-this is just fucking amateur hour over here, man.

David  5:35
I think you're crazy. But I respect your opinion.

Jordan  5:38
Well, thank you.

David  5:39
I do want to say though, that when you made that-when you said that thing about how, like, if he made a bad line, he just kept it? I was, at first, not sure if you were talking about art or dialogue, because that's shit, too.

Jordan  5:49
They both work here. [laughs]

David  5:51
I don't understand this is a second draft.

Jordan  5:53
I know.

David  5:54
This is based on a one shot where apparently the one shot is substantially worse than this.

Jordan  5:59
Oh, my god. [laughs] Okay, so we've kind of been dancing around it. We haven't explicitly talked about it because, uh, but the biggest issue here is that it's just really, really hard to follow this series. It is so hard to follow the plot.

David  6:14
This dude very clearly had, like, 30 pages of ideas. And then he had to add 20 pages of filler. Like, this plot drags on so insanely slowly. Very clearly had a minimum page count he had to hit.

Jordan  6:28
There are whole swathes of this chapter that's just Yotsuya explaining, like, weird bullshit that you can't follow anyway that are just very confusing. Like, I don't know, if you're trying not to confuse people don't introduce, like, a stupid, creepy doll story and then say, oh, that story was incorrect. Here's a second one. Like, I don't even know how they-how they related at all to the fucking serial killer because they might have explained it once or twice. But it's just-it really is just so hard to follow what's happening. There are a bunch of panels here where I just had to stare at the art for a bit to even [laughing] figure out what was going on.

David  7:06
This actually felt kind of difficult to figure out what is going to go on because they don't really plant any seeds. This is an entirely self-contained thing. If you just put this away and said this was a one shot, fine. I honestly don't know why Shonen Jump decided that this would be something that needed to be a series.

Jordan  7:22
I had absolutely no clue how this series was going to continue the first time because I thought that the little girl they found in the teacher's, like, I don't know, serial killer den. I thought that was her friend because I had no clue who the fuck that was otherwise. It turns out it was just some random little girl.

David  7:41
Yeah, cuz well, he had already killed her friend, right?

Jordan  7:43
No! Her friend is still missing.

David  7:45
Then whose hands are those in the freezer?

Jordan  7:47
There are hands in the freezer?

David  7:49
Yeah. Didn't he have real body parts? He was, like, trying to make a daughter.

Jordan  7:52
Yeah, but he killed a bunch of other girls.

David  7:55
Yeah.

Jordan  7:55
But, like, they seem to end it. And I'm only harping on this because I literally don't know how you could continue any plot from [laughing] this story without it. I'm pretty sure they end with the main character saying oh, we're gonna find my friend soon. And he's gonna help me. I'm pretty sure that's the plot.

David  8:13
I just realized, you know what series this makes me think of?

Jordan  8:17
Phantom Seer?

David  8:18
No, Cool Shock BT. Remember that shit with her at the window with the doll, like, scaring the guy? And this is, like, 400 IQ [Jordan laughs] shit. This is a spiritual sequel to Cool Shock BT.

Jordan  8:32
The teacher, I swear to god, is kind of meant to give you Kira vibes.

David  8:38
Well, he literally collects hands.

Jordan  8:39
[laughing] Exactly. Yeah. And even the way that he draws him, the style that he's doing just really reads to me as, like, discount Araki.

David  8:48
Yeah.

Jordan  8:48
What I said about this series, my first impression was this is [laughing] actually what if Phantom Seer sucked more.

David  8:55
Yeah. [laughs]

Jordan  8:56
[still laughing] Like, there, as far as I could tell, there isn't like any actual supernatural shit going on. But whatever.

David  9:04
Could be one of your guesses.

Jordan  9:05
Could be one of my guesses.

David  9:06
And on that note, do you want to get into the guesses?

Jordan  9:08
Oh, yeah. I can't think of anything else to say [laughing] about this fucking-about this fucking chapter.

David  9:13
No, you can't think of anything positive to [laughing] say.

Jordan  9:15
That's true. That's true. That's true.

David  9:17
[laughing] You can dunk on the series for another five minutes I'm sure.

Jordan  9:20
That would require me to remember things about this series, though, is the problem and it's very difficult to remember things about this singular chapter we read.

David  9:28
I'm going to be honest, my guesses for this series were not my best material. [laughs]

Jordan  9:32
How could you have good material? It's so hard to fucking guess what's gonna happen with this series because, like, until I told you that that wasn't her friend you didn't even know what the plot [laughing] of the series was.

David  9:44
No. I mean, I thought it was weird. Like, how is her friend, like, eight [Jordan laughs] years old, but I was like, maybe the author forgot.

Jordan  9:49
I didn't realize that wasn't her friend until my second read through.

David  9:52
I can't believe you read this twice. You fucking...

Jordan  9:55
Oh, I skimmed it the second time.

David  9:56
Oh, good. Just making sure.

Jordan  9:57
But yeah, so [David laughs] what are your guesses, David?

David  10:00
So my first guess is there'll be a mystery involving the main characters girl's parents.

Jordan  10:04
Mmhm.

David  10:04
The second is the big bad will be a murderer with a connection to the main character--

Jordan  10:09
Mmhm.

David  10:10
--and the timeskip will show the main character becoming a best-selling--

Jordan  10:12
Mmmm.

David  10:12
--author.

Jordan  10:12
Okay. And my guesses are I think somewhere in the series, there will be a Jason mask.

David  10:19
[laughs] Okay.

Jordan  10:19
I think the author is going to draw that somewhere. It's going to be real spooky. I guess. And my second one is, it's similar to yours. Uh, it'll end with a timeskip where Yotsuya is making horror movies. So now we're int-in, like, a little bit of a conflict here where if he ends up being a horror writer, then you get the point. And if he makes movies, then I get the point.

David  10:39
If that happens, the other person, I think, should get half a point.

Jordan  10:41
Yeah, what if he makes horror games though? [laughing] That would be great.

David  10:44
Oh, fuck off.

Jordan  10:45
Oh, but anyway, my third guess is that most of the [laughs] conflicts will end with them spooking bad guys until they get arrested. [laughing]

David  10:52
It's literally Cool Shock BT

Jordan  10:54
[laughing] It's literally Cool Shock BT except shitty.

David  10:57
I feel like that was the big discovery for those episodes is, I realized, this isn't shitty Phantom Seer. This is shitty [laughing] Cool Shock BT.

Jordan  11:03
Yeah. Oh my god. [laughs]

David  11:06
Maybe in the cover art will be him and BT playing volleyball because, um, we haven't said it, but this guy made Haikyu!! so, like, it's another My Hero Academia where apparently  he had one good series-or one popular series in him and just clearly he can't make anything else [Jordan laughs] because you can't be overall competent at creating art when you made something this bad. [Jordan laughing]

Jordan  11:26
I do think it's a B. Ichi situation where he was younger. And then he grew up and mo--and, you know, you grow up and you get better at things--

David  11:34
He made Haikyu!! two years after this.

Jordan  11:36
That's a significant amount of time. You can improve a lot in two years.

David  11:39
You're right [laughing] as-as we've seen with this podcast where our two-year anniversary is coming up.

Jordan  11:44
Yeah, exactly. [laughs] But anyway, David, would you read another fucking 10 chapters of this shit?

David  11:50
It's not because I like it. It's because I just-I don't know how you can make this series keep going.

Jordan  11:55
So this is your, uh, PPPPPP?

David  11:58
Yeah, I just want to read it to be like, where is he [laughing] going with this? Because I don't know how this isn't just a self-contained [Jordan laughs] one shot.

Jordan  12:05
I totally understand that. But as for me, no, this fucking sucks. So...

David  12:10
That's fine. Well, too bad. Unlike PPPPPP we will have to keep reading this.

Jordan  12:14
Oh, yes. Yes.

David  12:16
We already have a good contender for worst series this year.

Jordan  12:19
Oh, yeah. And speaking of, uh, of that, I guess. Uh, what's your Power Word, David?

David  12:24
I'm gonna say nani. [laughs]

Jordan  12:25
Nani! [Jordan and David laugh]

David  12:27
[laughing] What the fuck did I read?

Jordan  12:29
Nani! Yeah, like, seriously, it's like, uh, I had to think about that super [laughing] basic summary for a while. There is so much shit that happens in this series that-that, listener, you have no clue about because it's just completely irrelevant.

David  12:42
Yep. [laughs]

Jordan  12:43
And my Power Word is spooky because damn, what a spooky story. I like spooky, horror stories. What about you, David? Do you like horror? Spooky stuff?

David  12:55
Aren't you supposed to say, do you like scary movies? That-that's the line, Jordan.

Jordan  12:59
Do you like ghost stories, [laughing] David? [David laughs]

David  13:01
[bad pirate accent] Yer in one. [Jordan laughs]

Jordan  13:05
I honestly, like, had that quote in my head whenever he started talking about horrors-horror [laughing] movies. [pirate accent] Yer in one!

David  13:13
Wait a second. In that movie though. He hasn't turned into a ghost. He turns into, like, a skeleton.

Jordan  13:18
Yeah, but you know, they're ki-I mean, they're kinda like ghost/skeletons in that movie, you know? It's like they're kind of translucent-ish.

David  13:26
[sighs] Whatever.

Jordan  13:27
Anyway, we got some questions and answers.

David  13:30
All right, you ready for this?

Jordan  13:32
Y'all ready for this? Bom bom bom--

David  13:34
[imitates song] Don't. Copyright strike us. [Jordan laughs] All right, first one. Yaji_Black. Are there any flopped mangaka that you think could-likely to find success in a different medium? So, like novel writer, TV/movie script writer, playwright, director etc.

Jordan  13:48
The guy who wrote Red Sprite would, uh, find more success as a, uh, union organizer.

David  13:56
He makes [Jordan laughs] union propaganda comics. I think this is a-actually harder question I was expecting to put on. [laughs] Let me cheat and say I think that the crea-[laughs] the creator of, uh, Stealth Symphony would be much better as a writer because that's what [Jordan laughs] he did before he made Stealth [laughing] Symphony. [Jordan laughs] Also, I think the guy who wrote Teenage Renaissance! David-actually, I think I could see him making movies cuz he has about an hour and a half's worth of material.

Jordan  14:23
I just assumed he was gonna make porn.

David  14:25
No, that was, uh--

Jordan  14:26
Like hentai. [David laughs] Well, he could also do it.

David  14:28
Actually, yeah, [Jordan laughs] that's true.

Jordan  14:29
By the way, I do have to right a wrong, which is on our awards episode, we talked about the Sora of the comic, and neither one of us mentioned Mannequin Piss.

David  14:38
I thought we talked about that later in the episode.

Jordan  14:40
Did we? Well anyway.

David  14:41
We'll give an honorary honorary nomination for Mannequin Piss Sora of the year.

Jordan  14:45
Yes, exactly.

David  14:46
And people did complain and they say we should keep it to the actual spirit of what the term sora is. So, for next year, we'll only nominate characters and not anything else that a series might have done well.

Jordan  14:55
Alright, listener, if you fucking say so. God, this cancel culture. I swear to God. Anyway, uh, let's move on to the next one, David.

David  15:04
The next one is from Kirbymon who asks, are requests for recommendation episodes a part of patreon bonuses or you don't take them? I know flop requests are in Chainsaw Man tier. So, um, actually, we are planning on probably launching a new tier that's probably $20-$25. So if people have an idea for what they'd like to name that tier, eh,  I'm thinking of it'd probably be something Cop and Dolphin. [laughs] So maybe it'll be Dolphin Cop tier. [Jordan laughs] Okay, well, Jordan laughed so I guess that's the name of the tier. And so, that I think is one of the things we're gonna definitely do is probably you'll be able to just pick a major piece of content much like how Chainsaw Man can pick the manga series. We'll work with if you've some ideas, I mean, there's different types of content, you know, things like first impressions, recommendations, etc. And then you'll just help us figure out what we should do. The other part is also that if you are already an existing patron, or if you just join, generally, if we're not sure what we want to make the poll, we, generally, are pretty bribable for what to have on the poll. That's actually why Magu-Chan was on the poll for that recommendation episode. Someone joined the Patreon because they're like, hey, can you do an episode on Magu. I said, join the patreon and you got it. And then likewise, someone upgraded their patreon to be the tiebreaker. So we picked Magu when it tied with a different series, so I mean, yeah, joining the Patreon, upgrading your tier, getting someone to join are all easy ways to be able to di-directly influence what content we're making because we're making it directly for the patrons so of course, we want you to all have a lot of say in the actual content we're making exclusively for you folks.

Jordan  16:25
Look guys, we got a price, you know, and we're ju-just saying, you know, you can make suggestions but, like, uh, give us a little money. We might be, uh, a little incentivized to listen a little closer, you know what I'm saying?

David  16:36
Exactly. [Jordan laughs] Oh, and also, of course, so if you have ideas for what you would like to see in a $20 tier, please let us know because we're still thinking about really how do we diversify that from King of the Forest which is our currently-our highest realistic tier. Not that we don't love our two Chainsaw Man patrons, one of whom is listening right now but we know that $50 a month is quite costly. So we're hoping $20 is a good in between of I really want to help the show but I just financially can't be giving that much every month. The next question comes from Staghorn who asks, if you had to try and save a flop by adding a character from a different flop to it, who would you choose and what series would you put them in?

Jordan  17:08
Uhh, this is so tough because there's-there's so--

David  17:11
Ohh.

Jordan  17:11
--many flops, David.

David  17:12
How about Sora from Beast Children in Hunter's Guild, er, not Hunter's Guild. In Tokyo Shinobi Squad and says why are you racist? [Jordan laughs]

Jordan  17:20
Yeah, put'em in fucking Robot x LaserBeam, too.

David  17:22
Oh yeah, that's true.

Jordan  17:24
The main character from Zipman!! in Phantom Seer. He's just, like, a nice guy who will help them and I think that him being nice will even out how much of a dick [laughing] the-the other main character is.

David  17:36
[laughing] I like that. That's good call. Or just add Mannequin Piss to any series and it would be great.

Jordan  17:42
Oh absolutely! Mannequin Piss in fucking Phantom Seer? Yeah, instantly a better series. Instantly. [David laughs]

David  17:50
Okay, [laughing] next question is from Koltreg who asks, what manga would taste the best if you were to eat it?

Jordan  17:56
Candy Flurry. Next question.

David  17:57
Yeah, Candy Flurry.

Jordan  17:58
Yeah. [lauhs]

David  17:59
Next one is from TWolfwood who asks, what is the best bathroom reader manga?

Jordan  18:05
Maybe, uh, Pop Team Epic?

David  18:06
That's a good call. I guess the question is what cri-makes a good criteria for a good bathroom reader manga.

Jordan  18:13
Something that's meant to be read in the bathroom is something where you could just flip it open to a random page. It's, like, a joke book or whatever. You just kind of-sitting on the toilet, you take it out and you just read a couple pages of something. Don't have to follow anything. Easy there you go. And I feel like Pop--

David  18:29
Yeah.

Jordan  18:30
--Team Epic just like four panels. There you go.

David  18:32
Same with High School Family, I think. Like, it takes, like, two minutes to read a chapter of it or worst case you just look for Gomez and just smile at how cute he is.

Jordan  18:38
Yeah, or Cromartie High.

David  18:40
Oh, man. That was a great series.

Jordan  18:41
Yeah. Fuck it even Bobobo-bo, I mean, what? [David laughs] You-you really gonna follow the-you really gonna care about the plot of [laughing] Bobobo-bo now? Oh, come on.

David  18:49
[laughing] All right. And then our last question comes from GenericMan, our latest patron. So thank you for joining, and also Keeper of the Shonen Flop Manga Data, so that was super helpful. So thank you for that as well.

Jordan  19:01
Oh, thank you so much.

David  19:02
Who asks, which flop could do the best flip?

Jordan  19:04
Ooh, Hard-boiled Cop and Dolphin is not a flop because otherwise I would say there's a dolphin in there. Am I misremembering or did the girl in Ne0;lation do a flip?

David  19:14
I think she did like capoeira.

Jordan  19:15
Yeah, she did something-some kind of capoeira move.

David  19:18
I was gonna say Neru cuz he's, like, a martial artist so he'd probably be--

Jordan  19:21
Mmmm.

David  19:21
--actually be able to like, if you just said on the spot, do a backflip, he probably just could.

Jordan  19:25
He could especially because he's got such strong feet. He could easily push off the ground.

David  19:30
Please talk about his feet more.

Jordan  19:32
Oh, they're so muscular, David. Oh, man. So powerful. Look at those gorgeous feet of his. Yeah!

David  19:40
Also, I can't believe Beth May turned 30, speaking of feet.

Jordan  19:43
Okay, moving on. [laughs] No, no. I-you ha--

David  19:47
You know what-you know what I'm referencing.

Jordan  19:48
No, I don't. Happy Birthday, Beth May, friend of the show.

David  19:51
Go listen to the Neru episode. We talked about the Beth May feet thing. It's not me being weird. It was an intentional reference of a thing she did in  Dungeon and Daddies.

Jordan  19:58
I mean, it's also you being a little weird but anyway, not--

David  20:01
That's ok.

Jordan  20:01
--not-not as weird as initially saying.

David  20:04
Thanks bud.

Jordan  20:04
You're welcome.

David  20:05
Alright, but that is all the time we had today for questions. Thank you all so much for submitting them. If you'd like to have your question read on the show, all you have to do is join the Shonen Flop discord, where we have a dedicated channel and to recap that our priority is always we want to try and give space for our lovely King of the Forest and above patrons, then we try and get priority to people who have never asked questions before. And then finally, people that really haven't had a question answered in the last five or so episodes where yes, I legitimately have built an Excel model that shows the answer rate and the frequency of answers for certain individuals and flags people that should be having their questions answered. [laughs] Using that college degree well. [Jordan laughs]

Jordan  20:40
He got the business degree. Here we go.

David  20:42
Ye buddy.

Jordan  20:43
Let's move on to shout outs. So David, I think something happens in the shout outs here first of all, you know?

David  20:51
Oh, yeah, I, uh, really want to thank myself for just really running a terrific show.

Jordan  20:56
Oh, fuck off. [laughs]

David  20:57
And also th-[laughing] I really want to thank Jordan for running and editing the chibi episodes. It's a lot of work and he really does a great job.

Jordan  21:04
Thank you.

David  21:04
We also have some upcoming surprises I think Jordan's been working on. So I'm really excited when that comes up that we can talk about it.

Jordan  21:09
Oh yeah. The chibi cover art is by our, uh, longtime former artist, Shannon. Thanks to Tucker for assisting with pronunciation, translation, and other miscellaneous research. Thanks to Nicole for helping with social media. Thanks to Luke for being our community producer. Be sure to join the Shonen Flop discord. Come hang out with us and talk about anime, games, or whatever else is on your mind. We also have a book club and do regular movie nights. You can find a link to it in the show notes. We're also on Spotify, iTunes, YouTube, wherever else you get your podcasts. And finally as a shout out at the end, hey listener, did you know that I have a secret other podcast? [gasps] Oh my god. It's called Mission Ignition about a TV show that nobody has ever cared about, except for me, called Vanpires. It's terrible. We just put out our sixth episode [laughs] because I finally got somebody-my good friend Ganymede, who is now going to be a, uh, a permanent host. She did a fantastic job editing the episode. So you can check that out. Our Twitter is @bethevee and yeah, I would also like to send a generous thank you to our lovely patrons including those on the Chainsaw Man tier. We got PterodactylGhost and Trafalgar Wolfwood. How you doing, Trafalgar Wolfwood? You're here right now. What's up? I would also like to lay out a thank you to our King of the Forest tier. We got Albie. We got Can't Wait to Get a Taste of Shaun's Moist Taco. We got Gabe Landau. We got ManjiKnights. We got Mark. We got Matthew Sivulich. We got Maverick, OverratedApples, ScarletMyrmidon, what's up? THEBBKINGBBTHE, my man. And finally, another wonderful thank you to our Galactic Ball Federation Officers, and that is Alexandra Zorak, blahmoomoo, BS, Dylan Krider, GenericmMan, hans, Mara Bara, Mike Carpenter, Sara Hydra, ShingoSekimoto, Silly Rookie, That1WelderGuy, too. Trevor Schechter, Tristan Dena, and Yaji_Black. My friends, thank you so much.

David  24:18
[laughs] Yes, I really want to say thank you to everyone for being a patron. We hit our goal, and we are excited. We're gonna figure out our next goal. We have a super stretch goal, which is if we can get $2,000 a month, we will actually fund an anime opening. [laughing] So--

Jordan  24:30
Oh yeah.

David  24:31
--if that doesn't inspire you to fund the Patreon, I don't know what would. But if people have ideas for other goals in between [laughing] the $2,000 goal and [Jordan laughs] the $200 goal, we are all here. So we're looking for something a bit more reasonable, maybe in the 350 or so range.

Jordan  24:45
Uh, 350,000 anyway.

David  24:46
Yes, there we go. We will actually buy the rights to Build King so no one can ever do anything [Jordan laughs] with it ever again.

Jordan  24:53
All right. Well, we had a lot of fun here, but with that, ah, trying to remember how we end it. I'm Jordan.

David  25:00
I'm David.

Jordan  25:01
Say it!

David  25:02
Keep on flopping, floppers.

Jordan  25:03
Yes, I remembered! Goodbye!

David  25:05
Bye!
