[00:04:42] Let's get into the goddamn plot because fucking who cares.

[00:04:45] Let's talk about the series.

[00:04:46] Let's actually hear about what happens in the plot summary.

[00:04:48] After his father, Drucky killed the prince along with his seven warrior students.

[00:04:52] Gill was chased out of his home in the capital.

[00:04:54] Only to wash up on an island run by a dummy mommy named Mela who won't matter from this

[00:05:00] point on.

[00:05:01] That's definitely part of the drinking game at the manga we cover as a dummy mom.

[00:05:04] It seems to be.

[00:05:05] Anyway, in a book belonging to Drucky, Gill reads about evil liches from hell who kill people

[00:05:11] and possess their bodies.

[00:05:13] Yeah, they're basically just deadites.

[00:05:15] That was shit.

[00:05:16] Yeah, there are four relics which can close the gates of hell and hidden within the book

[00:05:21] is one of them.

[00:05:22] A cool necklace.

[00:05:23] Conveniently a lich shows up immediately after he reads about them.

[00:05:27] And like it's a second he finishes reading about them and possesses a villager but Gill

[00:05:32] uses his father's axe, King's axe to kill him.

[00:05:36] Gill then sets out to find his dad and get the relics.

[00:05:39] He makes it to a town where he meets Sana, not Santa.

[00:05:43] A girl from the Ronnie tribe who have been punished by the king to live alone and in

[00:05:48] misery.

[00:05:49] Was it a girl I could never tell that person's gender?

[00:05:52] Like they pulled the oh my gosh, it's a girl really early on but like it didn't matter

[00:05:56] at all for any point.

[00:05:57] Yeah, I just completely missed that then because I was like I could not tell that person's

[00:06:01] gender reading the entire series.

[00:06:03] Yes, she was a girl.

[00:06:04] Okay, but she had escaped that and just kind of steals things she turned into a little

[00:06:09] thief because she's like, yeah I could do whatever I want now that I'm not with them.

[00:06:13] But after Gill defeats a guy who's mad at her for stealing things, his brother, a guy

[00:06:18] with boomerangs who was blinded by Gill's dad shows up to fight them in the middle of

[00:06:22] the fight he's taken over by a lich but Sana reveals that she has a relic, a bo that

[00:06:27] shoots wind arrows and is able to help Gill fight him popcorn David.

[00:06:31] Oh man, just then a guy named greatest freight appears.

[00:06:34] This is literally greatest.

[00:06:36] It took me a second to realize what his fucking name was.

[00:06:39] Yeah, it was so confusing.

[00:06:41] Yeah, and he slices the lich apart with his sword as it is defeated the lich tells Gill

[00:06:46] that his father is currently being held by the leader of the liches, the true king and

[00:06:49] is the process being possessed.

[00:06:51] Greatest then takes them to meet his assistant who is literally named Slyz.

[00:06:54] Slyz?

[00:06:55] Do you know what Slyz is?

[00:06:57] No.

[00:06:58] It is disgusting slang for vagina.

[00:07:01] I had a feeling.

[00:07:03] I really don't think the author was going for that, but it was like really?

[00:07:08] Can you make her Slyz?

[00:07:10] Final Fantasy V has a character named Butz.

[00:07:13] And reveals that he is one of the king's generals.

[00:07:15] They were ordered to kill Gill and Sana but instead taken back to meet King on.

[00:07:19] A bunch of shit happens and we learned through flashback that Drekki was the king's younger

[00:07:23] brother who was cooler than him and hub.

[00:07:25] I wonder why it was called the king's axe at the start.

[00:07:27] Right.

[00:07:28] Because I was wondering that like wow, the king gave him an axe and you're like no, he

[00:07:31] just he should have been king was the whole thing.

[00:07:34] Yeah, and then some stupid bullshit happens in the king tells Gill to go to the troll

[00:07:38] force and kill all the liches there because go instantly the liches will like attacking

[00:07:42] the horse means about to execute them.

[00:07:43] That conversation was so confusing.

[00:07:45] I was reading the official translation.

[00:07:47] I had no fucking idea what was going on.

[00:07:49] It was not a translation issue.

[00:07:51] I could tell you that it was this conversation doesn't make sense because Gill shows up

[00:07:56] and it's like oh man, he really wants to kill Gill.

[00:07:58] Yeah, and then it ends with him just being I don't give a fuck go ahead fight the liches

[00:08:03] I don't care and it's like well what?

[00:08:05] Yeah, all right.

[00:08:06] They rush over just as the liches begin their assault and gilcees is cool troll on she gets

[00:08:10] killed almost immediately by the leader of the lich attack who was possessing the body

[00:08:13] of one of Drekki students in wheels of hellfire.

[00:08:15] David we just can't have cool things you introduce this dope looking troll lady character

[00:08:22] and I'm thinking.

[00:08:23] Go as apples.

[00:08:24] I think it all this is cool.

[00:08:26] We got like a new cool character dead gone dead.

[00:08:29] The moment Gill said oh my and there's part trolls like oh I want to meet her so bad

[00:08:33] I hope she comes back and then bam she was so cool.

[00:08:36] She was so cool.

[00:08:37] She gross apples on herself because all of the trolls are like dryads for their part treat.

[00:08:42] She says cool short troll lady covered in tattoos, smoking like some kind of some kind

[00:08:49] of leave.

[00:08:50] She spoke it some kind of herb is all I'm saying.

[00:08:53] She's got like photographic memory.

[00:08:55] She has like the whole history.

[00:08:57] She is the living history of the troll people she's so cool.

[00:09:01] Coolest character in the whole manga killed within a chapter.

[00:09:04] God don't you hate to see it.

[00:09:07] So Santa's arm and legs are cut off but a little troll girl starts gives her an apple

[00:09:10] from ony troll's tree branch hair and he kills her giving her an arm and a leg with

[00:09:13] sick tattoos on T troll was the book of wisdom being with photographic memory who can speak

[00:09:18] all languages and retains history.

[00:09:20] Santa now has taken over her role with her dying breath on T troll was able to read

[00:09:24] gills cool necklace and say that the relic is here and just then the necklace opens in

[00:09:28] a little star think fuses into gills body which means that he has completed the stage

[00:09:32] of Mario and it's sent back to the room of all the portraits.

[00:09:35] Got imagine that we just east of guys on the spot.

[00:09:38] He just hops out of a painting.

[00:09:39] He's like what the fuck?

[00:09:40] Woohoo same here with the.

[00:09:42] Oh he was Mario that time I got reincarnated as Mario.

[00:09:45] Oh god I'm waiting for that east of guy.

[00:09:48] The star thing gives gill water powers but because it's so cold the water becomes ice

[00:09:53] gill uses his ice powers to drive off the lich invasion and they follow the lich army

[00:09:57] back to their HQ where they meet the lich king who has full of possessed trekkies father

[00:10:01] and his army and fights back.

[00:10:03] The last good walls of horacraft expansion.

[00:10:05] The lich king flies over the human capital where he captures the king and lets his army

[00:10:09] run rampant.

[00:10:10] Gill makes it back and uses his axe and ice powers to defeat the lich king for good but now

[00:10:14] they have close the gates of hell.

[00:10:16] Gill uses water relic, santa uses her wind relic and the earth relic is actually combination

[00:10:20] of greatest and slithous swords.

[00:10:22] The fire relic however is extremely dangerous to use and the king is prepared to give his

[00:10:26] own life to use it but then trekkies body magically sands up without a head and uses

[00:10:30] it relic to close the gate permanently.

[00:10:33] Yours pass and the king dies of an illness passing thrown onto his nephew who is now known as

[00:10:37] ice head gill.

[00:10:38] Cute idol drop.

[00:10:39] Yeah.

[00:10:40] God what a fucking.

[00:10:41] Ah let's talk about characters real quick.

[00:10:44] ZZ what was your take on the main character besides the fact that his design?

[00:10:48] I haven't seen anime hair like that quite a while.

[00:10:50] I didn't think he looked that bad.

[00:10:52] I think this author had a real knack for character designs but Gill ended up being the

[00:10:57] worst of the bunch.

[00:10:59] Definitely the lamest I think.

[00:11:01] I don't think I hated him as much as David seems to.

[00:11:04] Like is a weird cross between the demon slayer guy and gone kind of?

[00:11:09] He's a sheer level of demon slayer influence on this series which we'll get into.

[00:11:16] Yeah he is a gone wannabe and I feel he has one character trait that is engineer in

[00:11:21] that he refute he hates eating by himself, which they give a really quick explanation for

[00:11:26] right at the end.

[00:11:32] the forest and he's like man eating alone is the best and then he gets attacked by like

[00:11:37] what an assassin.

[00:11:38] He didn't even have time to be scared just assassins shows up his dad saves them.

[00:11:44] Again literally the second it's relevant.

[00:11:47] Yeah this author was writing by the seat of his pants but you're doing tell us about

[00:11:51] the second character that actually matters in the series.

[00:11:54] So we're talking about sauna Ronnie.

[00:11:56] Where is like God can we talk about how like how that's like if you put in a finished name

[00:12:01] generator getting sauna Ronnie.

[00:12:05] Literally your first name is sauna for those who are unfamiliar there's actually more

[00:12:59] It's very dumb and so she escapes and it's like yeah I can read and I can steal I can

[00:13:04] steal things.

[00:13:05] That's all she does is steal shit.

[00:13:07] She's literally a goblin.

[00:13:08] Yeah little thief but she's got a magic bow which is one of the relics and it's one

[00:13:14] of those things where it's like oh she can fire it.

[00:13:16] Oh no the bow gives her anime coughing up blood disease.

[00:13:20] Relic of give me tuberculosis.

[00:13:22] Yeah it's every single anime it's like oh man this character is tired how do we know

[00:13:28] he's coughing up blood.

[00:13:30] Stamina system.

[00:13:31] He got hurt he's coughing up blood and it only happens once in the time they have it for

[00:13:36] the manga too.

[00:13:38] It doesn't really seem relevant.

[00:13:40] But she does get her arm and leg cut off and then become the new book of wisdom and yeah

[00:13:47] that you know what good for her I guess that doesn't seem like that much fun but I guess

[00:13:52] it's kind of cool.

[00:13:53] Yeah.

[00:13:54] The king wants to kill her and then seems to not give a shit.

[00:13:57] Yeah they brought up like multiple times.

[00:13:59] It's like okay you can go on and look at the next character.

[00:14:01] No you can't so just drag the scene on.

[00:14:03] Yeah that seems sucked.

[00:14:06] Really?

[00:14:07] Oh god and then I'll talk about greatest.

[00:14:08] The greatest Frank.

[00:14:09] A camp leader is named first named greatest.

[00:14:11] It's not like a Kanye West who I heard something.

[00:14:13] He looks like a woman but he's not.

[00:14:14] He's pretty much like a Sanji womanizer where he has no luck.

[00:14:30] to say his name and it took me a while to realize oh no his name is greatest.

[00:14:36] And later on they kept saying like oh it's great and I was like is that his name?

[00:14:39] Is that a nickname?

[00:14:41] Yeah.

[00:14:42] And he has this like arbitrary brother that's literally mentioned just to show up and

[00:14:45] be evil and dying.

[00:14:47] His brother's name is honest.

[00:14:51] I'll take on a super greatest.

[00:14:53] I really feel like most of the time we have this feeling that the Monkica found out

[00:14:58] three chapters before it ended that like the series was ending.

[00:15:01] I feel like this guy knew like 10 chapters.

[00:15:04] Completely.

[00:15:05] He as soon as he went to the troll forest it was instantly an end game mode.

[00:15:10] Yeah.

[00:15:11] It was like what?

[00:15:14] It seemed like it started wrapping up way too fast too early.

[00:15:17] Yeah but why don't we use that though as a good jumping off point into getting to

[00:15:22] why it failed.

[00:15:23] Yeah.

[00:15:24] So continuing on that photo issue with the series did you what is something you would

[00:15:27] say really statu is an issue with this series?

[00:15:30] I mean there's really not much chemistry a lot of characters are very flat and they don't

[00:15:34] bounce off each other in interesting ways.

[00:15:36] You know they get like one work to add quote unquote depth but it's really just often

[00:15:41] a phrase over a piece or something.

[00:15:43] Yeah.

[00:15:44] I guess I can bring this up now and that the author does this his first mongon.

[00:15:46] It's very apparent in that he has zero concept of actually why these theories or concepts

[00:15:51] exist.

[00:15:52] Oh demon slayer has these really cool arbitrary backgrounds make you feel bad or make

[00:15:57] you feel depthful we're going to just show backgrounds and nothing to do with anything

[00:16:01] going on.

[00:16:02] We don't do any diogenic backstory.

[00:16:04] We're just showing your arm story off he had a brother who died touchy feel really bad

[00:16:08] he's not such bad guy except he is because that has no influence on his actions of

[00:16:11] her oh characters are quirky in one piece let's add that that makes them seem depthful

[00:16:15] because I'm not going to write actually interesting characters.

[00:16:18] My issues with this manga are very similar but I think they completely destroy everything

[00:16:24] which is this guy is this is like the worst attempted foreshadowing I've ever seen that

[00:16:29] in the sense where it's like blatant but in the sense that he never lets anything build

[00:16:33] up to pay off he tells you everything the second it's relevant the worst example of this

[00:16:39] is actually in chapter two we didn't even mention it because it's completely fucking irrelevant

[00:16:43] girl meets this guy who's like damn my fiance disappeared and then people said that she

[00:16:49] was guiding people into the forest and then her little sister shows up and she's like

[00:16:55] you gotta help me you know this thing keeps happening you know and it's like oh man I

[00:16:59] guess your sister might be possessed by a lich immediately second page next page oh

[00:17:04] man it's the girl she's possessed by a lich here she is she shows up and it's like well

[00:17:08] dude hold on I don't really care yet can you like wait till I get it.

[00:17:13] Give this shit before you do this and the second biggest issue is on the flip side this guy

[00:17:17] is so bad at knowing what to give emphasis to I feel like when um you know sauna eats the apple

[00:17:24] and grows her arms like and grows her arm and like it just happens the next panel and it's

[00:17:29] like dude maybe that's the time to have like this moment where we see in sauna's head as

[00:17:34] he's like all this knowledge is coming into my head wow my arm and my leg are growing

[00:17:39] whoa no no it's just next panel there you go she's done and this repeatedly happens yeah

[00:17:45] it's just like they randomly just have flashbacks show up and there's absolutely nothing that lead

[00:17:50] led to the flashup just starting. Yeah it's just so on the fucking nose there's no fucking

[00:17:55] subtlety here it knocks you in the fucking face with everything like when Gil has that flashback

[00:18:01] where he's literally like man I love eating alone like can you give us some kind of subtlety

[00:18:07] man you gotta have him just say that right out like we see Gil and standing behind him is this

[00:18:12] weird fucked up beast and then later that chapter it guys like man this assassin you know the king

[00:18:19] told him to kill you many times and he would try and assassinate you and then showed the same image

[00:18:23] of that guy in the same exact poses that fucked up beast looking exactly like him about to strike

[00:18:29] in the same time it's like oh well I guess I know what that beast was now thanks for not letting

[00:18:35] it build or anything I guess I just know yeah also one thing as we talked about is there's both

[00:18:40] no connection tissue in the writing but also the paneling is really bad this is an issue again where

[00:18:44] he knows the theory and he knows that it's okay to skip panels sometimes but he doesn't know why

[00:18:49] people skip panels sometimes so he just has what seems like hard cuts in the same scene rather than

[00:18:54] being like like you'll just have an accident hand. I did notice that the awkward jumps seem to

[00:19:00] they were less frequent as the series went on oh yes so like this guy was improving but it was

[00:19:05] very clear starting out that there were a lot of issues like that first chapter has a lot of

[00:19:09] really quirky art that's kind of endearing in how bad it is yeah well that just had things where

[00:19:14] he forgot to draw off and like eyes on people's faces I wouldn't be surprised if he did this

[00:19:18] setting because all of the snowman he didn't actually have to really draw backgrounds which is

[00:19:21] a genius move but I think that was part of it it's just look at how lazy the backgrounds are

[00:19:25] because he can get away with it being snow. Speaking of backgrounds there's like no notable

[00:19:29] locales aside from the troll forest which has giant hands which really don't come up more than a

[00:19:34] couple of pages oh yeah they didn't really explain the mountain hands and then the mountains get

[00:19:38] destroyed and there's like no repercussions of these living mountains being destroyed.

[00:19:41] This guy has no idea how to prioritize what to tell you like we noticed it in chapter one where

[00:19:47] it's like wait how did Gil get that axe and it's like in this little panel he takes the axe

[00:19:52] from Mala and it's like well dude you should have shown that a little bit more like kind of

[00:19:57] make it more clear because the first time I read I was like how did this happen like when did

[00:20:01] that happen. Speaking of her she is also like a pretty bad person but the series really tries to

[00:20:07] make her seem good like she is exactly like storing the population like they talk about taxes but

[00:20:11] they don't actually say what she's using that money for that actually helps society so she just

[00:20:15] seems like she's hoarding money from them. And they were deeper by having her pull the shanks oh

[00:20:19] take my arm instead of the main character and then they do the take my arm instead of the main

[00:20:39] wildly with the big slash marks. It seems like the liches have to stab somebody in this stomach

[00:20:45] in order to take them up. I didn't they didn't really understand the role of the liches and it's

[00:20:49] also like if you have to burn them why are people like not actively like having like flammable liquid

[00:20:54] with them because you could just like malletop cocktail liches. I think they were saying it had

[00:20:58] to specifically be hellfire. They say hellfire but guilt is not getting hellfire yeah. Where are they

[00:21:04] getting that from? Where are they getting this magical fire from because they just have it on

[00:21:07] the island that guilt lives on. They're getting it from hell David. It's implied they just have

[00:21:12] fire with them. Why are they not actively weaponizing the one weapon that can permanently kill the

[00:21:16] liches? Which one? The hellfire. But again you could make a hellfire malletop cocktail. I have no idea

[00:21:23] what that even was like I don't know if they even ever had hellfire. I don't know if they ever

[00:21:28] permanently killed a lich in this series. They did in the first chapter they creamed into the liches.

[00:21:34] I was honestly like where could it go and it's like oh are we gonna explore because there's

[00:21:37] something left over of the lich because they're not using the right hellfire. Yeah and then there's

[00:21:41] also there's like that huge like retaining memory component personality and it never

[00:21:45] fucking matters and every lich is unquestionably evil. And that seems like that would have been an

[00:21:50] easy way to have made some morally great liches where you're like all of their main memories

[00:21:54] spilling out so it's like hard for them to maintain being a piece of shit. One of the best scenes is

[00:21:58] when they're burning the girl's sister who's a lich and the memories are mixing but like

[00:22:02] what makes Dead Eye to the Evil Dead series so endearing as monster is the fact that their

[00:22:07] main weakness is they stop to psychologically torture people with the memories they stole from

[00:22:11] whoever the presenting. Yeah it's so creepy and evil dead too where like she looks over and sees

[00:22:16] just like just her grandmother singing at her. Those movies are so good. Now that we're talking about

[00:22:22] something actually like why don't we talk about what it did well. Yeah I have to say that I'm honestly

[00:22:27] disappointed this series isn't good because this is such a cool setting like telling of liches

[00:22:31] and Nordic inspiration is very rare and has shown in jump series. Honestly I kept being like man

[00:22:35] I really want to like this series because this has a good background in setting to have made

[00:22:40] a really interesting story and it definitely gets points for that. I also think that the series

[00:22:45] started to get better in the fight scenes because this guy can sometimes draw a really cool

[00:22:50] action moment. Yeah he's great trying people spin. Oh my god everybody's spun yeah. It's

[00:22:56] a rocky again seven was the most you could destroy anything with seven spin. Well I'm gonna spin eight.

[00:23:02] Yeah then Gil spins eight times so it's like damn that's one more than seven.

[00:23:08] Wait a sec let me get my calculator out for that. Yeah man one of the things I know we're in what it

[00:23:13] did well but like I gotta say every time he increases the amount of times he spins he changes it to

[00:23:19] a more impressive animal he kills like caribou hunting wolf hunting and then it goes to orca hunting

[00:23:25] whale hunting and then tiger hunting and I feel like I'm dragging hunting after that. Yeah but

[00:23:31] I feel like hunting a tiger with an axe is less impressive than hunting a whale with an axe.

[00:23:36] So where did he see a tiger? He lives in the Nordic country. I don't know. Where would he

[00:23:41] see a dragon? Well I guess he makes ice dragons but anyway I mean there's fictional creatures

[00:23:45] are real on this side. Yeah they're worth for the record there are there's actually an axe named

[00:23:48] after a Nordic dragon. Where would he see an orca? I don't think they're around that area.

[00:23:53] Well he lives in an island yeah probably find an orca somewhere. I don't think that's an issue

[00:23:58] Jordan get out of here some kind of whale. You know what that's something the series did well then

[00:24:03] I take it back. Yeah there you go well that's which is the right section to say that.

[00:24:08] No I think the art was sometimes really cool. Yeah yeah I also think the liches as a mechanic

[00:24:13] are interesting there's definitely a lot of space they didn't use but the whole like take over

[00:24:16] our body and like have to deal with it I actually thought it was a cool call that there isn't

[00:24:20] a way to fix the lich possession so it means you always are going to have to do the hard thing which

[00:24:24] is to permanently kill them. Yeah you said that some about liches stab in someone in the chest

[00:24:29] possess them I read it as liches had to kill the person. Yeah I'm pretty sure they just have to

[00:24:33] be dead they're taking over their body. Yeah but everyone except for Dreckies specifically had a sword

[00:24:39] stabbed through though I'm just like well that's I guess this is a recurring thing. Yep I guess

[00:24:44] I'll just die now. Do you guys have any air positives? I feel like I know this section will probably not

[00:24:48] very long. You know I like this story but now I'm thinking about it's really hard to pick stuff out

[00:24:52] that really shined. Yeah now there were just been some ideas let's get into where it could have gone

[00:25:28] familiar it's it would have been similar it's like oh no a manga has a similarity to an American.

[00:25:46] somewhere I could have gone. One of the early chapters I think it was anti-watser name sets on

[00:25:51] like oh maybe the liches are just a cover story. I mean it turns out Dreckie is a cover story for

[00:25:56] the liches but like the possibility that liches were you know using a myth to their advantage and

[00:26:02] maybe there were real liches out there that was actually a pretty cool thought. Yeah but like I

[00:26:07] also feel like they should have introduced the ice powers in chapter one so it could be like look

[00:26:12] like Gil is like really special like in addition to just being good at an axe. Oh yeah the relic

[00:26:19] is translating the thing is here and just here being the only part they couldn't translate which

[00:26:24] is really dumb. That was so stupid because like obviously this is the relic no shit come on guys

[00:26:30] the issue I really add with Gil's relic is that everybody else has a weapon and then his is

[00:26:34] just something that goes inside of his chest. Oh yeah yeah. Do you think this author really was like

[00:26:41] man I want to have something with the frost axe and then got a war ragnarok came at his. I genuinely

[00:26:45] think that he intentionally was trying to avoid comparisons with got a war by doing that because

[00:26:49] it's such a low it's so obvious or an I genuinely think that that was why he didn't do it. Give him

[00:26:54] a different weapon then. I don't know or change it so that everybody has something that gives them

[00:27:00] fire powers or something. Did you know that there are like two hellfire relics in the series?

[00:27:05] Also why was water affected by the cold but not the fire I don't know like um

[00:27:10] because it's magical. It's magical fire but not magical water right yeah I think the whole

[00:27:16] lich element like as I mentioned before you could have made the liches much more sympathetic

[00:27:20] imagine if there was a lich that like had just taken over like a body that died of natural causes

[00:27:26] and he was like kind of like an ally lich in like show like how there is a way you can work with

[00:27:30] the liches because it's not like people die of natural causes there are hosts that they could have.

[00:27:34] Yeah or you could have you know the memories mixing actually affect the liches personality

[00:27:39] it's just but they were all unquestionably evil at all times. It's like the orcs from Lord of the

[00:27:44] Rings you know yeah when you make a race of creatures unquestionably iridimbly evil you create

[00:27:51] a situation where the most moral thing you can do is commit genocide yeah essentially an issue

[00:27:57] dnd5 had to change it so now there's not like forced alignment based on your race anymore

[00:28:01] because I had those issues and that has really bad implications yeah it's really bad implications

[00:28:07] that orcs are always evil so they took that out as an element which was probably a good call.

[00:28:21] axe and stuff. I do appreciate when a protagonist doesn't just have a sword you know.

[00:28:29] hunter I just rip that off and it would have I think having a really cool background

[00:28:33] designs could have carried it a lot longer than this idea. You know we say that but we saw

[00:28:37] Metallica Metalica we know what happens when something rips something all we're its hunter hunter

[00:28:42] off too closely yeah and then also had good ideas did it get hold the different metal power right

[00:28:48] was definitely the fundamental of something that could have been a cool power essentially both

[00:28:52] those series had at least not terrible ideas they were just terribly executed more like executed

[00:28:56] horrible oh I'm so fucking good horrible oh man yeah is there anything else you think you'd

[00:29:03] change about this. I think the king's bard or musician guy who's given advice was like planned

[00:29:07] to be the real villain behind the throne or something. Oh yeah that's clearly a plot thread

[00:29:12] they got wrapped up and maybe his music instrument was one of the relics but they just kill him in

[00:29:16] second-class shepher with no fanfare. Yeah they tried to like redeem the king who was like

[00:29:22] fuck the king with an asshole. King's genocide an entire race of people but I mean this series

[00:29:28] did establish that there are races of people that are always evil so he may not have been wrong to

[00:29:33] have done so. We totally forgot to mention in one panel it's mentioned all yeah the gates of hell

[00:29:39] were opened by some rammie person who the king was persecuting it was mad about it and it's like

[00:29:45] well I guess that makes the king feel more justified then what the fuck. And Drekki was supposed to have

[00:29:52] worked with the rammie and we didn't really got follow up on that. Did they explain how she got a

[00:29:56] magical bow no no okay just making sure I didn't miss that also can we talk about how I feel like

[00:30:01] every series that is based on the four elements this one thing the Norse love it's Greek classical

[00:30:07] elements yeah totally love these Greek classical elements in an Nordic series it's just such a

[00:30:12] low-hanging fruit that I instantly think a series is going to be shittier if they are like

[00:30:16] we're gonna bring in the four elements they need heart. I would have been fine if they just didn't

[00:30:20] have them as a set you know yeah because like they didn't even talk about like Acer and stuff

[00:30:24] like that which actually comes from Nordic culture so it's like so disappointing. You may as well

[00:30:28] just bring in the Chinese elements where they have like a fifth one. Metal and wood are there too.

[00:30:33] Yeah oh I think they kept mentioning oh the giant the serpent of the wolf's like you're naming

[00:30:37] everything else from north why not these guys oh you know what they also said oh in the last
