[00:00:11] Welcome to Show nymphlop, Chibi!

[00:00:12] First impressions mini episode where we talk about the first chapter of the series

[00:00:17] that we'll be covering in depth next week with our guest, Manga Kamin.

[00:00:21] I'm Jordan and with me today, as usual, is my co-host David Sayhi, David.

[00:00:27] Hi, interesting. I hope that doesn't mean there's a massive dropping quality. Yeah, Maxie B told me apparently this is one of the hardest people that they've ever had to research and this guy just kind of disappeared off the plate at the face of the earth. Oh Jesus. After he made this manga. Oh my God, which is

[00:01:42] real shame. Yeah. Okay, spoiler. I kind communal, we are royal, we in a golden age of ping pong. And that he should join a school where everyone who loves it goes. Thomas Charos says he is burning up. And that also, oh, yeah, fucking first impression, George, God, what a so many things to think about this first chapter. I was not expecting it to be like this. You know, David, I heard that before Hagen Wolf died.

[00:03:02] He said that he left all his ping pong balls in one piece.

[00:03:06] And then they split the ball.

[00:03:07] So it's ruined.

[00:03:08] Yeah, basically. guy had made previous manga that was sports related because I think no Kageo just begins with as Kageo. Oh it does. I thought it was like a track and field and then it just they shift into that but as you can tell I've not I've not read it maybe for patreon or re Kageo. As you can tell I have read it. I know the hollow butt technique and it rules this manga rules to this manga kind of rules

[00:04:23] this first chapter at least kind of fucking rules. true in Japan? Is it like a worldwide? Is it like an extremely famous sport in Japan? Yeah, people have to write in. I just never heard about it because I know Japan loves baseball, but I've never heard them go absolutely nuts like that pro ping pong players or household names. Yeah, I genuinely don't know. Like it doesn't seem like it. I feel like I would have heard about it.

[00:05:43] Yeah, I have no idea. We still need to was like, you know, was talking about how it's like table tennis originally started when people wanted to play tennis, but it was raining outside. It's a shame this didn't go long enough to have a pickleball arc. Oh, god. Well, we don't know. Well, we don't know. No, this came out. Pickball was really a thing in 2018. What?

[00:07:00] I thought that like really blow up post COVID.

[00:07:02] It was still around.

[00:07:04] No.

[00:07:05] It was definitely is a thing that also happens unfortunately. So it's notable, unfortunately.

[00:08:23] Yeah, I think though to get into some of read manga where the first chapter was the best chapter many times before. Yeah, that's true. It's almost like we have an award in the flop piece for that. Yeah.

[00:09:40] Oh god.

[00:09:41] So George, did you have any airforts?

[00:09:42] Or I feel pretty good that Really good game. All right. And then Jordan, you know, what else fills me with determination? Power word. Yeah. Mine is ballin because the series is about balls and it's pretty good. Mine is burning because Thomas here says that he is burning up and this manga is burning with determination, I guess.

[00:11:02] I also, by the way, speaking of a. I genuinely think she could have made an absolute banger Shonen Manga.

[00:12:21] I think that Edgar Allan Poe would write the craziest flop.

[00:12:24] No, I think HP Lovecraft would write the craziest flop, Yeah, be a very dodist. Oh Andy Warhol. God. He was he died too soon to do AI art. Yes He would have loved it Andy Warhol better networker than artist Probably the greatest networker who ever lived next that we have from Aussie rat which teen times character is the most relatable to you I would say cyborg cuz I to him half robot mine is Raven because I am depressed. God

[00:13:43] We actually did a bonus episode on our faults on the first three episodes of teen times if people want to the reader love the sport too, you have to love the sport and you have to use your manga to successfully make the reader become more interested in the sport that you are showing. I also think having a really strong cast helps make the sport. Like, iShilt has a really fun cast. Slam dunk has a really good cast. iQ literally is built off of the quality

[00:15:03] of its cast. I think that's really critical and for capitalism? I don't know. And it's super weird when a non-CGI version of Larry David shows up for like 10 minutes during the movie. God, I wish. Listener, you'll have to find out if that actually happened in that movie.

[00:16:20] But no one has ever actually seen the B-movie, so no one can prove me wrong.

[00:16:23] I remember a friend of mine hosted the entire script to B-movie to my Facebook page. Thanks for dealing with our assistance for editing.
